Bet! This was a good week in Oxnard. For the fourth of July we had a bbq with one of the YSA ward members. He is super nice. He worked on the music in the Moana disney movie. He sang for us with Sister O'fa. It was great. The food was amazing. It was Tongan food. Lots of chicken, noodles, and tons of other stuff. It was so nice on a day when I was missing my family. We also sat out on our balcony to watch fireworks. We could see a few, but we have a huge tree blocking our view. lol
Another member of the YSA ward made me a wood plaque. It is super cool. There is a picture below. Every Tuesday, we volunteer at a garden in Oxnard. It is called Food share and they give elderly people in the community everything out of the garden. We did some weeding this week. They also gave us some beautiful flowers. It is nice to be outside working.
We celebrated Sister O'fa's one year mark. That was fun! I am grateful to be serving with her and the other sisters. They are wonderful.
Last pday we tried to go get the deal at the Cheesecake factor, but they told us we were there at the wrong time. it was ok, we ate anyways.
We have done a lot of family history. We do three hours a week. I found that cool picture of one of my family members on a mission in 1920s.
We taught a lot of member lessons this week. We met in person and on line. We had some investigator lessons but many canceled on us. We will keep plugging along.
I got a new mission president this week. We have met him and his wife several times. They are great. They came to our District council and church with us. Our district has a church service on Sundays. There are only a few of us, but it is nice to have a small service. The YSA ward does Kahoot online each Friday for Come Follow Me. That is always a good time.
I finally get to drive on Saturday when we go on exchanges. I will go with the STL.
An interesting thing that my new mission president...
I told him it is weird that my first 8 months i won't knock any doors. He said you will never knock a door. The Lord has been trying to get us to teach online and differently for years. :)
I love getting emails and mail!
Have a great week
