First Week in Ventura, California Guys! - May 25, 2020 (lots of pictures)

Hey Guys, I mean Y'all  (lol)
This has been a good week but a week full of firsts and adventures. I met my original district from the Mexico MTC in Denver, and we all flew in together.  It was good to see them. I flew into the Santa Barbara airport on Monday. It looks exactly like the Psych Police headquarters. It was great. The airports were empty except for missionaries. There were a lot of missionaries flying. Then we all stayed the night at the mission home. Everyone was kind of weird trying to get used to being a missionary. The next day we met our companions and set off to our areas. I was assigned to the Ventura Spanish Ward. I am in a three pack with Hermana Haslam and Hermana Stoker. My apartment is great. It is one of the nicest in the mission. We also have a 2020 Rav 4 as our car. I also learned that my mission is one hour wide and three hours along the coast. So, it isn't very big. It is a small mission. There are a lot of orchards and farms around here.  It is beautiful. We can see the ocean from just about anywhere we go in our area. We are a facebook mission. So, we do a lot of work online. We have to leave our apartments for 2 hours a day. So, we usually go for a walk on the beach every morning. We go on a lot of walks. We live about 5 minutes from the mission office. We have three hours a week for family history. So, send me stuff that you need help with. I would love to do it. We are teaching people online and can go to member's homes if we are invited. I gave away my first Book of Mormon. It was my first mission miracle. We were walking down the street and I wanted to go to a new street to see what it was like. As we walked down the street we saw a man on the sidewalk. I decided to say "hello".  I felt like I should. I introduced myself and we found out that he is a fashion designer living in LA. He works at my favorite store, MOOD. I swear that we had met before. I gave him a Book of Mormon and our information if he wanted to learn more. It was a very cool experience. We had so much in common. The Lord definitely puts you where he needs you.  All in all, it has been a good week. I am still adjusting to missionary life. The language is tough. Being home for two months did not help. I am determined to do this, and I appreciate everyone's prayers and support. You can email me or send me letters anytime. Remember to find joy in the journey. That is what the gospel is all about.
